Pastor’s Thoughts January 23rd, 2024

2024 is well underway by the time you read this and I hope it has been good to you so far.

As we look to the New Year about to unfold I would encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the faithfulness God has shown you throughout the past year. We have experienced challenges and uncertainties and God has been with us every step of the way. In times of joy and sorrow, His love has remained unwavering

The New Year is an excellent opportunity for spiritual growth. Consider setting aside time for regular prayer, reading the Bible, and fellowship with fellow believers. Embrace the chance to deepen your relationship with God and allow His transformative power to work in your life.

Just as God forgives our sins, the New Year provides us with a chance to let go of the burdens and mistakes of the past. God’s grace is sufficient and through repentance, we can experience the freedom and joy that comes with a clean slate. We need to remember that it is not just at the time of the calendar flip; His mercies are new every day.

Yet the New Year is a symbol of hope—a hope rooted in the promises of God. Regardless of the challenges that may lie ahead, we can face the future with confidence, knowing that our hope is anchored in the unchanging character of our Heavenly Father.

Let this New Year be a season of renewed faith, strengthened commitment, and boundless hope. As we journey together in the light of Christ, may each step bring us closer to the abundant life that He has promised us.
