Pastor’s Thoughts September 28th, 2023

This past Saturday we said goodbye to summer and welcomed my favorite season, autumn. Fall is here, and its vibrant foliage and cooler breezes serve as a powerful reminder of the beauty of change in God’s grand design.

Autumn is a time when nature undergoes a profound transformation. Trees shed their leaves, displaying an array of fiery colors before they fall to the ground. This reminds us that change is an essential part of life. Just as God orchestrates the changing seasons, He orchestrates the changes in our lives. Embrace this season as a reminder that God can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

The falling leaves remind us that sometimes in life we need to release our burdens, worries, and sins to God. Psalm 55:22 tells us to:

Cast your burden on the Lord,
    and he will sustain you.

Autumn’s breathtaking beauty serves as a testament to God’s artistic brilliance. Each vibrant leaf and crisp breeze is a reminder of His creativity and majesty. As you witness the changing landscape, take a moment to admire the intricate details of His creation. Let it inspire you to see God’s handiwork in every aspect of your life. As Psalm 19:1 reminds us:

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.

As the season proceeds, I would encourage everyone to embrace the changes that God has woven into the fabric of our lives. Because just as the seasons transition, so do our circumstances. And, like the changing seasons, each change in our circumstances brings a multitude of blessings!

So as we walk through this autumn season let’s do so remembering that God’s love and grace are unchanging, no matter the circumstances or the seasons.
