Pastor’s Thoughts Tuesday July 25th, 2023

As July comes to a close and summer approaches its midpoint I hope you are finding time to enjoy the splendor of God’s creation.

In our fast-paced lives, we often overlook the simple blessings God has provided for us. This July, let us take a moment to appreciate the ordinary gifts that bring joy to our hearts — the laughter of loved ones, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the warmth of the sun. By recognizing these small wonders, we can cultivate a heart of gratitude and experience God’s love through the beauty of everyday life.

This peaceful summer season might bring with it moments of uncertainty and anxiety, but as Christians, we are reminded to cast all our worries upon the Lord. In times of stress, let us remember the reassuring words from Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Trusting in God’s plan for our lives allows us to find peace and comfort in His loving embrace.

Life is full of changes, some expected, and others entirely unforeseen. As we navigate the shifting tides of the seasons of life, let us hold steadfast to our faith in God. Remember that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He remains our constant source of strength. Embracing change with faith empowers us to step boldly into new opportunities and challenges, knowing that God’s love anchors us in every season.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be vessels of His love in the world. This summer, let’s all make a conscious effort to spread kindness and compassion to those around us. A smile, a helping hand, or a listening ear can have a profound impact on someone’s life. By reflecting God’s love through our actions, we can bring hope and healing to a hurting world.

In July’s warm embrace, let us seek to deepen our connection with God and experience the power of His unwavering love. By finding joy in the ordinary, surrendering anxiety, embracing change with faith, spreading kindness and compassion, and celebrating God’s grace and forgiveness, we can discover a renewed sense of hope and purpose. May this month be a time of spiritual growth and reflection, knowing that God’s love remains a constant beacon of light in our lives.
