Spring! It really is here! The mornings are bright and the welcoming chorus of the birds as they sing their songs, make it even brighter. Spring!
There are few times here in western New York that are as special as spring mornings. The cool fresh feel in the air makes for a perfect time to sip coffee outside. The feeling of newness that comes up with the sun can give us pause to remember the God who is responsible for all that we see.
Unfortunately, spring mornings, like fall afternoons, and the seasons in general, are made more unique by virtue of the fact that they are fleeting. But the God who made them is not.
Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us:
22The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
As we enjoy these special spring mornings let’s remember to give thanks to the God who gives them to us.
